Nurses and allied health professionals who self-identify as novice or advanced beginner in their knowledge, skill and judgement of wound prevention, assessment and management are invited to join us for a one-day on-site skills lab and webinar.

The program provides the opportunity to refine fundamental skills relevant to local wound care, such as debridement (inclusive of conservative sharp wound debridement), and infection and moisture management (including dressing selection).

The program is based on the concepts and content in Wound Canada's Best Practice Recommendation articles and provides students with the most recent information in a form they can immediately use at the bedside. Once the student successfully completes the on-site skills lab and webinar, they will receive a certificate of completion.

Note: Successful completion of Best Practice Approach to Skin Health and Wound Management program is a pre-requisite to this course.
