Malignant Wound Resources

Malignant Wound A malignant wound is a break in the skin secondary to skin cancer, a tumor that grows up into and through the skin, a tumor that has spread into blood or lymph vessels, cancer tumor removal surgery (when cancer cells get left behind in the skin), or secondary to conversion (when a chronic wound becomes cancerous).

The following resources are intended for health care providers involved in skin and wound care, to use to educate themselves, their co-workers, and/or their patients. The guidelines, tools, algorithms, and patient enablers can also be taken, modified as necessary, and implemented in health care facilities within copyright restrictions (which are noted with specific tools where applicable) and with approval from your organization's senior managers.
